Lucid Spec uses certain terminology that is important to understand.
| • | Custom Widget: A Custom Widget is one or more Widgets that have been saved for later reuse. |
| • | Footnote: A Footnote is additional information about a Screen or Widget. |
| • | Screen: A Screen is what an end-user sees as part of his application. A Screen is typically imitating a web page, desktop application, or dialog box. |
| • | Section: A Section is a part of the Specification that can contain text, Screens, or sub-Sections. For instance, you might add a Section to create an introduction or appendix for the Specification. A Section can contain other Sections or Screens. |
| • | Simulation: Simulation is experiencing the flow between Screens similar to what would occur in the application. |
| • | Specification: A Specification refers to the entire Lucid Spec project. It is called a Specification because the final output can be a document that describes or defines the user interface. |
| • | Widget: A Widget is a component or control that can be added to a screen. |
