Common Properties

Many Widgets have similar properties that appear in the Properties Panel. You can modify these properties as necessary. The table below lists the most common properties.

 

Property Name

Description

Back Color

The background color for the Widget.

Enabled

Is this Widget enabled?

Font

The font, size and style for the Widget text.

Footnote Number

The footnote number of the Widget. You can use this to change the order of the footnote numbers.

Frame Color

The frame or border color of the Widget.

Has Footnote

Does this Widget have a Footnote?

Jump To

The Screen to go to when the Widget is selected. This is useful for adding a jump between screens. For Widgets that contain lists (Combo Box, List Box, Text Spin, etc.), this property represents the default Jump To location. This can be overridden by setting the Jump To property for individual items in the Item Collection Editors.

Location

The position of the Widget in millimeters. There are other ways to position a Widget.

Name

The Name of the selected Widget. The property only appears in the Properties Panel. It may someday be optionally visible in the Widget Table in Describe.

Size

The size of the Widget in millimeters. You can also use the selection border around the Widget to adjust its size.

Text

The text to display inside the Widget. You can also edit this Property directly.

Text Color

The color of the Widget text.
